Jaime-Lee shares her love for Lois Hazel pieces...
My wardrobe philosophy is classic staples - often with a twist - done well. And I think that’s why Lois Hazel resonates so strongly with me. I know I can rely on her to keep things feeling fresh without straying too far from my sartorial comfort zone.
One thing I know LH will always bring to the table is texture. An essential in a minimalist’s wardrobe, especially if you’re fond of a tonal look like I am. And her seasonal colour palettes are typically drawn from colours found in nature, which I find effortlessly mix and match with the hues already in my closet.
For A/W, I’ve added the Pillar Long Sleeve Maxi Dress to my wardrobe - in the classic black. It has this beautiful wide ribbed component. I love that it can be worn both with or without the matching belt; it creates a couple of easy styling opportunities from the get-go. I’ve personally been enjoying wearing mine casually with a long trench and sneakers. Or, if I want to feel a bit more put together, I’ll throw on a pretty slingback flat and maybe a tailored blazer.
Aside from knowing LH pieces are lovingly made in Melbourne, I also appreciate how heavily natural fibres feature in her collections. Her silks feel luxurious and special, even in “relaxed” silhouettes; the poplin cottons LH uses have beautiful structure; and I’m clearly a little smitten with her knitted cotton pieces - to me these make great year rounders.
